Our Story
"Some people find each other at coffee shops or on dating apps.
We found each other on a honky-tonk dance floor."
Deepak walked into a country dance hall in Texas one night, not entirely sure what he was getting into, but drawn by the music and the energy. Krupa was already out on the floor, boots moving like she'd been born in them. Somewhere between the steel guitar and a crowded two-step line, their paths crossed. He asked her to dance. She said yes. And that was the beginning of everything.
What started as weekend nights at the dance hall turned into something bigger. They practiced in parking lots after the music stopped. They drove hours to competitions they had no business entering and held their own. They pushed each other, challenged each other, and somewhere along the way, fell in love with the craft as much as each other.
Spur & Silk was born from that spirit. The grit of the spur and the grace of the silk. It's not just a name. It's how they dance. A little rough around the edges, a lot of heart, and always in sync.
Today, Deepak and Krupa compete nationally with the American Country Dance Association, capture every moment on video, and share their journey with a growing community of dancers who believe what they believe: the dance floor is where real magic happens.
Where it all started

The one who showed up to a dance hall in sneakers and left with a new obsession. Brings the energy, the drive, and occasionally the wrong footwork, but always the heart.
THE SILK
The one who makes it all look effortless. Smooth, graceful, and the reason the partnership works. She leads from the follow, and everyone on the floor knows it.
